China 15th Metallurgical Construction Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as “China 15th MCC”) was founded in 1953 as an engineering and construction entity established by the People’s Republic of China to restore and develop the country’s metallurgical industry. It was one of the earliest engineering enterprises in the non-ferrous metals sector to “go global.” Currently, it is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Nonferrous Metal Mining Group Co., Ltd., a high-tech enterprise in Hubei Province, and a provincial-level enterprise technology center in Hubei. The company has over 30 wholly-owned, holding, equity-participated, and branch entities.
The company holds a special-class metallurgical construction general contracting qualification, dual Class-A design qualifications in metallurgical and construction engineering, along with seven first-class general contracting qualifications and 21 first-class specialized contracting qualifications. It also possesses the qualification for foreign economic cooperation. With traditional strengths in mining and smelting, the company has long served sectors such as steel, petroleum, chemical, energy, power, building materials, housing construction, municipal works, and highways, providing high-quality services including design, consulting, investment, construction, procurement, and operation to clients both domestically and internationally.
The company has designed and constructed over 1,000 projects across China and in more than 30 countries. It holds more than 100 patents and has received over 300 project awards, including the Luban Prize and National Quality Engineering Award. Its ESG performance is rated Grade A, and it ranked 105th in the 2025 ENR “Top 250 International Contractors” list.
